BLOCK C: Cephalosporins

PRODUCTION BLOCK C

Cephalosporins in oral solid dosage & dry syrups

Production Block C is dedicated to manufacturing cephalosporins in oral solid dosage (tablets and capsules) and dry syrups. The block has advanced machinery to ensure efficient production of coated and uncoated tablets and high-speed dry syrup filling and packaging. The tablet and capsule manufacturing sections feature essential equipment such as a double cone blender for precise mixing, an oven drier for drying processes, and 38 & 27 Station Cadmach Compression Machines for tablet compression. Additionally, a 48″ auto coater and stirrer are utilized to produce coated tablets, adding a protective layer to enhance stability and ease of consumption.

1. Tablet Manufacturing

The first step begins with gathering the necessary equipment for tablet manufacturing, including a double cone blender, oven drier, 38 & 27 Stn Cadmach Compression M/c, 48" auto coater, and stirrer. The formulation is then prepared for the tablets, ensuring the correct composition of cephalosporins and other necessary ingredients. A double-cone blender mixes the elements and creates a uniform blend thoroughly. The mixture is then transferred to the oven drier to remove moisture content and achieve the desired dryness. The dried combination is moved to the Cadmach Compression M/c, selecting either the 38 or 27 Stn configuration based on production requirements.

2. Packaging of Tablets

The next step is followed with the setting up of the packaging section with two packing lines. Hi-speed Rapid Pack Alu-Alu and satellite strip packing machines for efficient packaging are installed, and the tablets are properly counted and sorted for packaging. Utilization of an Alu-Alu machine for blister packaging, where the pills are sealed between two layers of aluminium foil for enhanced protection, is done and accompanied by the packing machine to package tablets in strip form. Inspecting aged tablets for quality and seal integrity and packaged tablets with the appropriate information is checked thoroughly.

3. Capsule Manufacturing Setup

For manufacturing safe, hygienic, and perfectly molded capsules, our manufacturing block C hosts an array of fully-automated futuristic equipment ensuring optimum conditions for the process. The process begins with sourcing and verifying quality raw material to store in the hopper from where it is transferred into the melting tank and sequentially ran through the coloration, moulding, printing, inspection and packaging processes to deliver the end result. The machinery used in the entire setup is exclusively from the latest model ranges made of safe stainless steel for enhanced cleanliness and quality.

4. Dry Syrup Line

Third step includes setting up the versatile high-speed dry syrup line, including the bottle de-cartooning system, vacuumed bottle cleaning machine, high-speed powder 24 funnel head bottle filling machine, 6-head plastic screw capping machine, and induction sealing machine. Preparation of the dry syrup formulation ensures accurate measurement and mixing of cephalosporins and other required ingredients.

5. Labeling and Final Packaging

Preparing the appropriate change parts to accommodate different bottle sizes (HDPE 30 ml and 60 ml) and glass bottles is done at the last step. Using a sticker labelling machine with an online inkjet printer to apply aesthetic labels on the bottles, including product information and branding, is done carefully. The last and final check on the packaging to ensure all bottles are properly filled, sealed, and labelled is carried out from here.
